How to Use the Registration and Choice Filling Form on the Website?
Candidates must log on to the website www.mcc.nic.in (which will be operational shortly) to register and fill in their choices. It is advisable to study the counselling scheme carefully. Before filling choices online, candidates are recommended to prepare a tentative list of colleges as per their preferences based on the available seats. It is essential to read and understand the user manual for candidates provided by the MCC before registration.
Is it Necessary to Fill Choices and Lock Them for Seat Allotment?
Yes, it is necessary to fill in the choices of institutions/colleges/courses in order of preference and lock them. Once the choices are locked, a printout of the submitted choices can be obtained. If a candidate fails to lock the choices within the specified period, the system will automatically lock the submitted choices as per the schedule. Candidates who do not register and fill in choices during the registration period will not be allotted any seat. It should be noted that registration is available once before Round 1, before Round 2, and before the Mop-Up Round. There will be no fresh registration before the Stray Vacancy Round.
NEET UG Counselling Round 1: Seat Allotment Process
The seat allotment for candidates is based on their NEET-UG examination scores conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The specific process and criteria for seat allotment will be detailed in the counselling information bulletin provided by the MCC.
Payment Process for NEET UG Counselling
After registering, the payment page will appear automatically. Candidates can make the payment online through net banking, credit card, or debit card. The successful payment is a prerequisite for proceeding with choice filling.
Do I Need to Join the Allotted Medical/Dental College in Round 1 to Participate in Round 2?
No, it is not mandatory to report or join the allotted college in Round 1 since there is a free exit option. However, candidates who wish to retain the seat allotted in Round 1 and upgrade in Round 2 must physically join the college in Round 1 and express their willingness for upgradation during the admission process.
Candidates are advised to carefully read the information bulletin related to the counselling scheme and understand the details before registering on the MCC website to ensure a smooth counselling process.
