Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 Counselling: Registration Date of the counselling for the students extended until July 12

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Tamil Nadu has announced the extension of the registration deadline for Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 Counselling. Candidates now have until July 12, 2023, to complete their registration. The official website for the counselling process is tnmedicalselection.net.

Previously, the last date to apply was set as July 10. However, due to numerous requests received from candidates, the deadline has been extended to allow more time for the receipt of applications for MBBS/BDS courses in the academic year 2023-2024 session.

How to Register:

To register for the Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 Counselling, candidates can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of DME Tamil Nadu at tnmedicalselection.net.
  2. On the homepage, click on the registration link for Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2023 Counselling.
  3. A new page will open, prompting candidates to complete the online registration process.
  4. After successful registration, log in to your account.
  5. Fill in the application form and proceed to make the payment of the application fees.
  6. Once all the necessary steps are completed, click on the submit button.
  7. Download and retain a hard copy of the submitted application for future reference.

Registration Fee:

For general category candidates, the application fee is ₹500/-. However, SC/SCA/ST candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. Additionally, candidates who secure admission through the government quota will be required to pay a security deposit of ₹30,000/-, while those admitted through the management quota will need to pay ₹1,00,000/-. Failure to join the respective institution after being allotted a seat in the second round or subsequent rounds will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.

Seat allotment in the counselling process will be determined based on the candidate’s choice locking, the application of the 69% rule of reservation, and NEET marks, following the guidelines outlined in the prospectus.
