How COVID-19 Will affect MBBS Abroad Admissions?

HOW covid 19 affects mbbs abroad study for indian students

Being a professional educational consultant in Delhi and mentor for the students pursuing MBBS from Abroad, we are keeping a close watch on Covid-19 effects on the overseas education.

I am frequently in touch with our students in Ukraine and taking the live updates from them.

In normal scenario, as the seats in Indian medical colleges are limited, students would take admissions in various MBBS colleges in Ukraine and other countries. Now that the world is struggling with COVID-19, it will have the impact on the MBBS abroad admissions too.

And like everything else, the world is struggling to keep everything under control. Like the NEET (UG) exam is postponed to end of July in 2020, similarly everything else will also have to be postponed.

So, taking this into effect, the admissions are still going on and we’re still getting queries from the students and their parents for the admissions. It’s a thing that we all have to live with taking the adequate precautions.

The world is fighting the novel Coronavirus and that doesn’t mean that everything would be put under the lock down for years to come. MBBS admissions in other countries, especially in Ukraine still have some time, even though students are still showing interest in joining.

The MBBS admissions happens till September 2020 so we still have time for getting things back to normal again. The world is struggling with COVID-19 and it has started to come back to normalcy as soon as possible.

Pre-Covid-19, the admissions in Ukraine happens till October of every year. So, this year too, the admissions will take place but as I have realized parents are not too keen for China (for obvious reasons) and Russia too.

Here, Ukraine is more favoured over the other countries because the tuition fees and cost of living is affordable and universities are high quality.

By the time, the admissions will happen, the situation will be under control within the next 4-5 months.

Therefore, this year as well, the admissions are going on. And as the Government of various countries are trying their level best, possibly everything can be under control soon.

Honestly, Majority of the students this year, won’t be really going to China and countries like Russia where the situation is not as pleasant.

Therefore, the most affordable option, students are left with is Ukraine.

Ukraine has MCI Approved & listed top class universities with good quality education and topic on the MCI pass percentage is really good.
