NEET Cut Off For MBBS Seat in India

NEET exam is mandatory to get admission in MBBS courses in India and abroad. There is a specific NEET UG cut off which is announced every year and based on the percentile that cut off is decided. The cut off is also dependent on the number of students who have given the exam and the pattern of the exam.

As per the past few years, here is the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced NEET 2022 Cut off percentile. The cut-off score is the minimum score a candidate must achieve to pass or qualify the NEET exam. Do remember that even to get admission in the MBBS colleges abroad, NEET qualification is mandatory.

On the candidate’s scorecard, the NEET cut-off marks and the NEET cut-off percentile both would be mentioned.

The NEET aspirants can enroll and register for the NEET counselling process based on the NEET cut off marks obtained.

NEET Merit List will be used to evaluate the candidate’s rank and for admission.

Please note that (under 15% AIQ) to veterinary colleges for undergraduate courses such as BVSc and Animal Husbandry.

For NEET 2022, the general category cut-off was 715-117, and the OBC/SC/ST category cut-off is 116-93. NEET Cut Off for AIQ seats are released in the form of opening and closing ranks by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

As we mentioned above, for admission to various Undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, Veterinary Course and others, the aspiring candidates and students must take the NEET 2022 exam.

Under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), the NEET 2022 Merit List will be utilized to allocate the seats in veterinary colleges for undergraduate degrees such as BVSc. and Animal Husbandry.

National Testing Agency (NTA) makes the cut-offs for MBBS and BDS shortlisting to 76928, 525 (BVSc and AH), and 26949 to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH course work, respectively.

NEET Previous Year cut-off for 15% AIQ

For admission to medical and dental colleges and institutes participating in NEET, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will provide a 15% All India Quota NEET Merit List.

Candidates with scores equal to or higher than the NEET cut-off will be eligible for All India Quota admissions, except those from Jammu and Kashmir. Through Medical Counselling Committee NEET All India Quota Counseling, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have joined other states in receiving 15% of MBBS and BDS seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges.

NEET 2023 Counseling and Seat Allotment

Candidates can register for the NEET UG counseling round after the NEET 2023 result has been announced. The candidates will be interviewed based on their NEET 2023 ranking. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) holds NEET 2023 counseling for the 15% All India Quota seats or the participating colleges and institutes, while the remaining 85% state quota seats will be governed by the appropriate state authorities. The NEET counseling rounds and interview procedure will be performed online, and candidates will be able to register and fill up their college preferences based on their rank list.

NEET 2022 Exam 15 percent AIQ Merit List

The admission test for dentistry and medical universities, the NTA will publish a 15% AIQ Merit List.

Aspirants who receive equivalent or higher marks than the cut-off score (except in Jammu & Kashmir) would be eligible for the 15% AIQ for the admission procedure.

Students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can also apply for admission to government medical and dental institutes if their AIQ is less than 15%.
