Russian medical universities are bi-lingual where; the first three years of the course are taught in English. While, the rest of the program is in Russian, therefore, a lot of students can find it difficult to understand the subject that hampers their studies. Indian students can find it difficult to switch between the two languages.

Whereas, in Ukrainian medical universities, this entire 6 years MBBS course is taught in English. The teachers there have good command over English and they are pretty fluent in the language as well.

The teacher to student ratio is 15:1 or 12:1, which helps the student to clear their doubt then and there easily.

If you will look at the MCI pass percentage of the Indian students for the past couple of years, Ukraine had better MCI pass percentage than Russia.

The medical universities in Ukraine are very affordable and so does the cost of living. Along with the studies, the students are also encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities.

Ukrainian people are in general very warm and friendly towards the foreigners, who come there to study.

So because of these things Ukraine is always preferred by many Indian students that would like to do MBBS from abroad.

This may not be that important but for some students it can be one of the key points while choosing a country. The climate for Ukraine is still similar when compared with Russia which is an extremely cold country.

And here I would also say guys that come to MBBS studies abroad, India is one of the best countries to study medicine. However, some students may not be able to get a seat in Indian Medical colleges but still would like to fulfil their dream. For them, studying abroad is a better option, which can help them find an alternate option of becoming doctors.

This is why you must never compare the in these two countries or any country with Indian Standards. These countries can be your and alternate route which will help you in gaining the MBBS degree, after which you can come back to India, clear the FMGE MCI exam and be eligible to practice medicine in India itself. So if you are taking the alternate route then you have to work extra hard.

But also remember that your degree is of No use till the time you clear the MCI (FMGE) exam, which would be replaced by NEXT exam in the coming years. This is why, it is MUST that you take admissions to universities and country, where there are MCI classes from 1st year.

Because FMGE exam has a very low pass rate. From this you can imagine that it becomes difficult for students to crack the MCI exam but on the brighter side while studying MBBS in any of these countries, getting MCI coaching classes by our Indian faculties make a huge difference in clearing the MCI exam.
