The Ukraine’s education system for MBBS course is as follows:

• The MBBS course is divided into semester patterns.
• Each year is divided into 2 semesters.
• The total duration is 5.8 years for MBBS course.
• The first 5 years have different subjects segmented into years and semesters. 6^th year is for the clinical practice and knowledge.

Summer vacations: For 2 months from July and August.

KROK Exam: MBBS in Ukraine 

KROK examination in Ukraine is held in Ukrainian medical universities and colleges. There are 2 steps of KROK exam i.e. KROK 1 & KROK 2.

KROK 1 Exam

KROK1 is the examination after 3rd year of the MBBS program. When the student clears KROK 1, then he/she will be promoted to 4^th year of MBBS course.

It covers subjects like Human Physiology, Human Anatomy, Biological Chemistry, Histology, Cytology and Embryology, Microbiology, Patho-physiology, Virology and Immunology, Pathomorphology and Pharmacology.

The KROK 1 test paper consists of 200 marks and 3 hours and 20 minutes. Student must score 60% to qualify the KROK 1 examination. Maximum of 3 attempts are given.

• Biology – 7%
• Biological Chemistry – 16%
• Histology, Cytology and Embryology – 4%

In case the student couldn’t qualify the exam, he/she will not be promoted to next year.

KROK 2 Exam

KROK 2 exam has to be given the 6th year of MBBS program, while studying MBBS in Ukraine. This exam is essential to get the license, certificate and attestation. It qualifies you as an MBBS graduate from Ukraine. The examination pass criteria are the same for the KROK 1. KROK 2 can be given once a year.
